From the Coach....
With a five, two loss against runaway bay it was going to be a hard game from the start. With Marcus injuring himself at home he was unable to play so moving some players around was in order. Our defence let us down with runaway bay doing most of the attacking. Luke tried his best but with four defenders it’s hard to cover the whole back of the field. Our strikers were Chance and Jed. Chance had a shot at goal with a powerful kick I’d hate to be the keeper trying to stop the ball unfortuanaly it went over the cross bar. Second opportunity saw chance kick for a goal were the goal keeper dropped the ball and Jed was in the right place to score the goal. Our second goal was also put in the back of the net by Jed. All our players tried hard but it’s just one of those games where one team wins and one doesn’t and we didn’t this week. As we play the top team Tugun this weekend we need to focus on our defence this week. Well done to the whole team on a good effort. Thanks to Nigel, Bruce and some of the players for setting up the field also Hazel for the oranges and Nigel for the sugar rush lollies. Thanks coach Parry.

From the Coach...
What can I say! The players wanted to make a name for themselves and that’s exactly what they did. With most players playing in different positions than they normally play I think they enjoyed themselves. Starting with Jed scoring 4 and Marcus scoring 1 as our strikers they played some terrific cross passes in front of the goals were they left the goalkeeper wondering what was happening. Our mid field was a mixture of players such as Maddy, Nick, Sam(as captain) Allison, Chris, Chance scoring 2 and Luke scoring 1 were with some great running and kicking saw the boys scoring goals as well. Our defence saw Catherine, Hisham, Amy, Codi and our goal keeper Tom who had some work to do in the second half but kept Mudgeeraba scoreless. In the second half players were moved around again to give some other players a chance to play different positions. The whole team played such a top game where it goes to shows what we are learning at training is actually paying off at the game. With a bit of pushing and shoving in the game I have to say that Codi ended up with a our first yellow card that most of us never seen but that’s the way the game goes especially in front of the ref. Well done to the whole team again and a special thanks to Marcus’s dad for giving all the kids a new drink bottle each Thanks coach Parry

From the Coach....
Another great game by our team as they try to overcome the 8:30 kick off time. Some of the players are still finding it hard to start at 8:30 but by the time the game is over there pretty well awake by then. (Maybe some red cordial before kick-off might do the trick). We had the opportunity to change the positions of some of our players which they found it great. Our goal keeper Tom saved some great saves as Tweed broke through our defense line a few times and had the chance to score but Tom was ready to stop the ball. Strikers were Jed and Chance with both boys scoring a goal each, well done boys. Nick played left while Marcus played left mid ,Maddy and Sam played right side .We had Chris and Luke as sweepers and our backs were Codi, Allison ,Brittney, and Catherine all playing a top game. Tweed was pressured for most of the game but our team played hard to keep them scoreless. Also well done to Jed as this was his second game with the team and scored a goal and was awarded player of the match. Well done to all the team. Coach Parry.

From the Coach....
Another great game from our team especially after a bye last week. Our team had Robina running all over the field chasing the ball and that’s not saying that our team didn’t either. But with big kicks from most of our players we were able to keep Robina out of our area. Starting with Tom our goal keeper he had some great saves and long kicks with Chris,Luke,Marcus,Amy (Catherine and Hisham) playing in defense, midfield saw Nick left field, Maddy, Allison and Sam right field with brothers Codi and Chance as strikers. There were a lot of good passing the ball on the field to each other but communication was very bad as no one wanted to talk. Robina scored their only goal for the day but as luck was on our side they were in an offside position. Marcus had some big kicks to clear our goal area as well as Luke, unfortunately Luke kicked the ball to clear our goal square and the ball went straight up and came down with such a spin on it, it hit the ground and went straight back into our own goal . Never mind Luke it happens to the best of them. Over all the team played exceptionally well and there is room for more improvement. It was a great game with even the parents getting all exited and thanks to Luke’s mum for the fruit this week. Well done team. From Coach Parry.

Team Day Out - Pacific Pines 0 v 1 Iceland
Player of the Day: Kerry (Maddy's mum)
What a top day to spend on our Bye day by spending a couple of hours ice skating. Saturday morning started miserably with rain but that didn’t bother us - we had to put up with the 5deg cold air. Parry (coach) organised a day outing for the team and their families and with Iceland giving us a group discount we were there and what a great turn out with about 25 skating and another 10 watching it was a good day for all. Some of the kids were professionals at skating others were midrange and the rest were beginers. After 2-3 laps everyone had the knack on skates and had fun even young Luke, Allison’s, Catherine’s brother age 3 and there mum and dad aswell.Maddy, her two sisters and even mum had a go. Chance, Cody and there mum also tried out. Luke and his mum, Sam his brother Jake and me (Coach) Britney also bought a friend along with Tom, Amy, and Nick and his sister all trying something different. But I do have to say the play of the day goes to Kerry who tried one hard turn to many and had a crash and burn. But all in all we had a great day and I hope everyone else did as well. Thanks to all parents and players. I also apologise if I left anyone out.

From the Coach.....
A top game with most of our players playing in positions they haven’t played before. Even though we didn’t score any goals we came so close quite a few times. Most of our kicks were either saved by the goal keeper, the rest either hitting the uprights or the cross arm of the goals. We had some great kicks up the field with our players chasing the ball and passing. Tom our goal keeper had is work cut out for him but came through with flying colours with some top saves, our backs defended our area and got rid of the ball quick as they could and keep the game flowing at a great speed. Mid field were just as good with some fast running and passing which had the strikers ready to score. A great game all round with the team playing with a positive attitude all the time. Captain for the day was Chris and player for the day was Brittney for the rest of the team well done . Thanks also to the parents and team for their help in setting up the field as well as the strassburg family for supplying the oranges and chocolates for the team -- Also a huge thanks to Maddie's mum & dad...Brett & Kerry Kable for the wonderful Baskin & Robins Ice Cream vouchers...yum!

From the Coach.....
A slow start to the game our players finally warmed up to a great finish in the second half. Tom our top goal keeper had some great saves including a save from a penalty shot which I think was a bad decision from the ref. With the ground being wet it was hard on a couple of occasions for Tom to grab the ball. Our backs had a lot of play time with the ball in our half for some time. Our backs started with with Amy/Hisham, Luke, Marcus and Catherine. Our mids were Nick left Chris, Allison and Sam right and our forwards were Maddy and Britney. In the second half the team started the game with a lot of pushing and shoving from Runaway Bay but continued on playing as a team eager to win. Maddy scored our second goal unfortnally she was in an off side position. Well done team on a good game.

From the Coach.......
With another good win the team are heading in the right direction. Our first and only goal was scored within the first 10 min from kick off by chance. We had a few more opportunities to score but just missed out. The play of the day went to Sam and Chris - they were about two feet from the goal and ended tackling each other and missed the opportunity to score. (More practice is needed in talking to each other). Maddy and Luke just missed out in scoring as well and a brilliant kick from the side saw Chance hit the upright of the goal post. Tom, our goal keeper had some great saves and kicks to get the ball out of our area. Our line up for the day saw Marcus, Amy/Hisham, Allison, Cody /Catherine as our backs. Mid field was Maddy right Sam, Michael and Nick left and our strikers were Luke and Chance. Unfortunately Brittney was locked out of home and couldn’t get her gear and missed out playing. Never mind Brittney there’s always next week. Also a few kicks in the legs from the opposition team had our team frustrated but they kept their cool and played the game to keep Mudgeeraba scoreless. Well done team keep up the positive attitude towards the game and remember we're there to have fun as well. Thanks also to the parents for putting up with my (positive) yelling at the kids as well as the dads for setting up the play field as well.

A great way to start round 1 with a 3 nil win over Tweed Heads as well as player of the day and a hat trick from Chance. Nick and Maddy were so close to scoring but just missed out this time. Some big kicks from the whole team had Tweed Heads doing most of the defense work .A great effort starting with Luke as our goal keeper with some top saves as well as hard kicks, well done Luke, Our backs Brittney, Allison, Codie our newest player and Catherine, centres Sam right Maddy, Chris and Nick on the left forwards and Chance and Marcus as our strikers, And let’s not forget happy go lucky Hisham and Amy as subs who all played a top game. Well done team on a top win. Also thanks to the dads for turning up early to set up the playing field.

From the Coach....
An excellent game all round. The team started with a positive attitude and continued through the whole game. We had some great breaks through Palm Beach’s defense which ended us in scoring goals. Chance scored 2 goals with some great passing from Chris and Allison. As well as Maddy playing around the defense and goal keeper for a great goal. Luke played centre defense with that great right leg he’s got, got rid of the ball from our half on a number of occasions. Our new member in the team was Marcus who fitted right in with the rest of the team. Tom our goal keeper put in a top effort with some great saves. The whole team played hard and should be proud of themselves with 50 minutes of play time they never back off once. Final score Pac Pines 3, Palm Beach 1 with the whole team being awarded player of the day. Well done team.

From the Coach....
A great game for the first half. We were 2-1 at half time but after the half time brake the team went to sleep and ended doing all the defending for the second half of the game, explains why they were so tired at the end of the game .The first goal was to a T, as we practiced at training it worked on game day. Chance had the goal keeper running at him that’s when he crossed the ball to Chris for a perfect goal. 2nd goal another great goal as Chance played around the goal keeper for a perfect open goal. Luke was our centre back were with his big kicks got the ball out of our half of the field quite a few times and let’s not forget the rest of the team with Nick as Captain, Sam Allison ,Brittney, Maddy, Catherine, Luke, Hisham, Amy and our goal keeper with some great saves Tom. Not forgetting that at least 4 players were getting over the flu or injuries. Well done team for a good game. Also thanks to the dads for setting up the field.

Another great game! As we only had 10 players we were lucky because so did Tweed Heads - so it was an even game for both teams. A pat on the back is deserved for all of you for our win... 4-2, well done team a great effort by all. Our team captain for the day ways Maddy as well as player of the day, well done Maddy. We had great players all round with Chris, Chance, Luke and Maddy all scoring a goal each. Our midfield was Allison, Sam and Nick and our backs were Hisham and Catherine who all played a great game.And lets not forget our No1 goal keeper who made some great saves to help us win the game, good on you Tom.Thanks also to all the supporters (parents,brothers and sisters). A fun Saturday morning outing for all.

What a game! For a new team to get together, train and play their first game as a new team you all tried really hard.
Kick off was at 8:30 and it felt like it had already reached 30 degrees. Everyone was soaking wet by half time.
Maddison had a chance to score a goal but got caught out by the defenders....so close Maddy!
Britney was our only goal scorer for the day unfortunitaly she scored for the other team...oops! Never mind Britney at least you scored a goal.
Tom tried his hardest at goal keeping with some great saves.
Team captain for the day was Luke and player of the day was Nick.
For the rest of the team well done on a great game, we will improve with more training and games.
Also thanks to the dads for setting up the goals and nets.
