GAME REPORTS....
ROUND 14: Saturday 24th July 2010
Pacific Pines 0 v 4 Kingscliff @ PACL1
Player of the Match: Arlen Micklesson
From the Coach....
Another loss this time to the best team in the division who have great
passing and movement. We did take the game to them on many occasions
with some good work all round from everyone but could not get that shot
away cleanly. Unluckily, silly mistakes not clearing the ball under
pressure cost us the game. Well done to all and especially Arlen who
kept up the fight even when hurt and injured.
ROUND 13: Saturday 17th July 2010
Palm Beach Orange 4 - 0 Pacific Pines @ PB
Player of theMatch: Kieran Taverner
From the Coach...
Not a good game for Pacific Pines with a 4 - 0 loss to the better of the
two Pam Beach teams in this division. Some good passing and pressure
eventually came but with no goals to show. Hopefully we can raise our
game on Saturday against the best team of the division being Kingscliff.
ROUND 12 Saturday 26th June 2010
Southport 1 v 4 Pacific Pines @ SP
Player of the Match: Ryan Leeves
Goal Scorers: James-2, Blake-1 & Arlen-1
From the Coach....
Another great game with some nice passing between the team with the pressure on Southport for most of the game. Well done once again to James for two more goals, Arlen for following up a shot on goal and a great left foot into the back of the net and also to Blake for playing up front for the first time this season and his first goal of the season as well. Well done to Ryan who gave a lot more effort in this game. Mark.
ROUND 11 Saturday 19th June 2010
Pacific Pines 1 v 1 Robina City @ PAC2
Player of the Match: Kyle Dryburgh
Goal Scorer: Kieran Taverner
From the Coach....
This one has got to be the best match we have played proper passing football all season without actually winning the game. The first half was all Pacific Pines and we were shocked to go behind before the break due to our goal keeper watching the ball trickle pass him instead of picking it up. Not sure why? The second half continued the same way and we managed to draw level and tried with much effort from all players to find the winner to no avail. Well done everyone for this exciting match. More football like this should see much more rewards now and in the future. Mark.
ROUND 10 Saturday 12th June 2010
Southport 2 v 1 Pacific Pines @ SP16
Player of the Match: Lachlan Taylor
Goal Scorer: James King-1
From the Coach...
A good game of football with Pacific Pines in control of the game for the first half with the pressure on Southport’s goal from the start. Only one shot on goal from Southport in the first half, which unfortunately hit the back of the net, let them draw level. Unlucky to Mia in goal who was bored for most of that half of the game.

ROUND 9 -- *BYE*
ROUND 8 Saturday 29th May 2010
Palm Beach Black 1 v 1 Pacific Pines @ PB
Player of the Day: Wilson Wright
Goal Scorer: Mia Ryan
From the Coach.....
The team worked hard all game and went one nil down to one of the strangest decisions by a referee, who adjudged the ball had crossed the line even though it hit the inside of the post and bounced back out away from the goal line. So much for the whole of the ball crossing the line??
With the rain coming down really heavy from the start of the match, the team gave it there all and finally a great goal from Mia. With better weather I am sure this game would have been a win for Pac Pines U10’s.cA good hard game in atrocious weather earning a draw with the rain finally stopping just as the final whistle blew.
A big thank you goes out to all the parents who also turned up with the umbrellas and got wet as well. I know I did!!!!!
ROUND 7 Saturday 22nd May 2010
Pacific Pines 0 v 7 Kingscliff @ WP6
Player of the Match: Blake Dryburgh
From the Coach.....
Another poor start after the long journey down to Kingscliff for an 8.30am start. The behaviour of the players before the game did not represent the club in a good light with Pac Pines players more interested in running in puddles and pushing each other over which lead to me having to have stern words in front of other visiting parents and teams before the game. This behaviour was not acceptable.
The first goal from a Kingscliff team, there to play football and win, was conceded within 10 seconds of the kick off and we were 5 – 0 down at half time. Just like Palm Beach the week before, after some changes, the team made a much better effort in the second half as the passing eventually started to happen. James hitting the crossbar twice and other chances going astray as too long on the ball and no shot on goal. Also good work from Arlen in a slightly different central midfield role and for Kyle for going in goal for the second half. Kingscliff finally grabbed two more goals before the end to make it 7 – 0.
Much more effort and a better attitude from all players not just on the pitch but especially at training and before the match is required to get us back to a team capable of winning.
ROUND 6 Saturday 15th May 2010
Pacific Pines 0 v 3 Palm Beach Orange @ PAC2
Player of the Day: Arlen Micklesson
From the Coach....
Very poor game and a step backwards from last weeks great result. With an earlier start at 8.30am, most of the team were still asleep and we were soon three nil down before half time. A slight change to the team set up and we held the second half with a good chance towards the end of the game for a consolation goal but too much time on the ball gave Palm Beach time to recover. More passing, talking within the team and having better shots on goal are needed to get back on track for some more wins.
ROUND 5 SATURDAY 8TH MAY 2010
Pacific Pines 6 v 1 Southport Green @ PAC2
Player of the Day: James King
Goal Scorers: James King- 3, Kieran Taverner- 1, Wilson Wright- 1 & Arlen Micklesson- 1
From the Coach....
Good game and great win against another Southport team. First half was a bit scrappy but managed to draw level before the break. With changes to some of the positions, this saw a totally different team who put another five goals in the net without reply whilst starting to pass the ball around more. Well done to James for the hat trick, a good free kick from Arlen and the rest of the team for the hard work.
Mark
Round 4 Saturday 1st May 2010
Robina City 2 v 1 Pacific Pines @ Robina
Player of the Day: Levi Pulford
Goal Scorer: James King
From the Coach....
Good game and good come back to equalise with a great goal from James. Lost it in the last five minutes against a good team. Missing one key player which could have changed the scoreline. More passing required and more shots on goal!!!
Rnd 3 Saturday 24th April 2010

Wilson Wright-1
Kieran Taverner-1
Player of the Match: Mia Ryan
