From the Coach....
Congratulations to all of the boys. This was a hard game for all of the players but they kept a positive attitude and didn't give up.
Coomera were a team who liked to kick big so the boys learnt to work as a team and rotate who would stay back to stop those big kicks.
Leo was given the player of the day as he didn't give up! He was very proud to be the first player to recieve the POD weekly trophy, thank you to Pacific Pines Football Club for providing the trophy.

Goal Scorers: 3 Jamie Bird - 1 Jack Hyett - 2 Leo Farr & 1 Jack Browning
From the Coach....
With it being Jamie's last game they all played fantastic.
Leo had a superb game scoring two goals and tackling his little heart out.
Jack B scored the first goal much to his surprise and also had a great game in defence.
Dominic had a great game defending even though he did not score he saved some great goals and set up some great passes to the other boys.
Jack H wow what a terrific game for him too. He was everywhere in attack and scored a terrific goal.
Well how can we forget our wonderful Jamie scoring an amazing 3 goals and doing what he does best, getting into it all. We will his miss that slide tackle!!!
Southport had a great game to scoring 3 very impressive goals, but they came up against our boys who wanted to send Jamie off in style.
So we say farewell to Jamie, he will be truly missed. No more subs for the rest they will have to carry on, which i'm sure they won't mind.
It was a great day for all, and all got a certificate as they all played like little champions.

What a game!!!
We played in the rain and the boys didn't give up!
Jack and Jack were outstanding in the attacking positions and Dominic and Leo defended with courage and strength. Dominic saved a few goals and Leo never gave up, he was able to strip the ball and pass it up the field to the two Jacks to help score the 4 goals.
Great effort by the entire team, it was the first game without Jamie Bird and it gave the boys an enormous amount of confidence knowing that they could still play as a successful team.
Well done boys!

From the Coach....
Outstanding game by both teams. The boys were at similar skill levels and this is evident in the final score.
This was the first game where we have had 5 players so we actually had a reserve!!!
Jack B and Jamie had an outstanding attacking game and Dominic and Leo were dominant in the defence. Jack Hyett played well in the mid field and all of the boys pulled together as a team passing the ball to eachother.
Each week the boys are showing more skills, team plays and great sportsmanship. I am very proud of them all.

A big cheers to Leo, as he played outstanding first game and fit in very well with the team and they also welcomed him in, and a goal on his first game with us!!!
Jamie had a great game, scoring 5 goals and played and passed beautifully and was well deserved of his award.
Dominic played very well and showed great skill with the ball and got a cracker of a goal.
Jack B also had a good game with lots of shots at goal and saved some as well, he never gave up.
All in all they played really well together.
Cant wait for Jack Hyett to return and also maybe welcome Olivia to play in our team.
